Code of Ethics, Consent, Waiver & Refund Policy
Thank you for joining a Taste of Love Tantra event.
Our intention is to create a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment where people can explore embodiment, healing, conscious relating, expanded awareness, intimacy and personal growth with integrity, respect and care.
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, or attending any Taste of Love Tantra event, workshop, retreat or festival, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this Code of Ethics, Consent Policy, Waiver and Refund Policy.
Code of Ethics
1. Personal Responsibility
You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, mental and psychological wellbeing throughout the event.
Please honour your own boundaries, communicate clearly, and seek support whenever needed.
2. Consent
Everything offered during our events is an invitation, never an obligation.
You are always welcome to:
- Say yes.
- Say no.
- Change your mind.
- Stop an exercise at any time.
- Observe instead of participating.
Consent must always be informed, enthusiastic, ongoing and freely given.
3. Respect for Others
Please treat every participant with kindness, dignity and respect.
Honour other people's boundaries, relationship agreements, identities and experiences.
Any connections made before, during or after the event are entirely your own responsibility.
4. Integrity
We ask all participants, presenters, volunteers and staff to uphold the values of honesty, respect, compassion and accountability.
We aim to create a community where everyone feels safe to explore without pressure or expectation.
5. Support
Deep personal work can sometimes bring unexpected emotions or challenges.
Experienced facilitators, volunteers and support people are available throughout the event.
Please ask for support whenever you need it.
6. Alcohol & Drugs
All Taste of Love Tantra events are drug and alcohol free.
Anyone arriving intoxicated or using alcohol or recreational drugs during the event may be refused entry or asked to leave without refund.
7. Photography
Private photography, filming or recording during workshops is not permitted.
Official photographers and videographers may capture promotional material throughout the event.
If you prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, simply request a "No Photos" wristband at registration.
8. Inclusivity
People of all genders, identities, sexual orientations and relationship styles are welcome.
Some workshops may include discussion of anatomy or gender-specific practices. Participation is always optional.
Consent & Safety
Our events include workshops exploring embodiment, meditation, conscious communication, relationships, intimacy, movement, dance, breathwork, personal development, psychology and trauma-informed practices.
Some workshops may include consensual touch or partner exercises. Others are entirely non-touch based.
Everything offered is educational.
Nothing is ever compulsory.
To support a safe environment:
- New participants must attend the Welcome & Consent Session.
- Please communicate clearly and honestly.
- Respect both verbal and non-verbal communication.
- If you become uncomfortable, pause or stop the exercise immediately.
- If uncertain, ask a facilitator for support.
We believe healing occurs through awareness, choice and personal responsibility—not through pressure.
Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver
By purchasing a ticket, attending, or participating in any Taste of Love Tantra event, workshop, retreat or festival, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You participate voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.
- You accept full responsibility for your own physical, emotional, mental and psychological wellbeing before, during and after the event.
- You are responsible for deciding whether any activity, workshop or exercise is appropriate for you and may choose not to participate at any time.
- You understand that some workshops may involve movement, meditation, breathwork, emotional processing, partner exercises or consensual touch and that these experiences may evoke strong physical or emotional responses.
- You agree to immediately inform a facilitator if you feel unsafe, unwell or unable to continue.
- You understand that Taste of Love Tantra provides educational, personal development and wellbeing experiences and does not provide medical, psychological or psychiatric treatment.
- If you have a medical or psychological condition that may affect your participation, you are responsible for seeking appropriate professional advice before attending.
- To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, you release and hold harmless Taste of Love Tantra, Marion Ellyard, its organisers, presenters, facilitators, volunteers, contractors, venue owners and associated personnel from any claims, liability, loss, injury, damage or expense arising from your participation in any event or activity, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Tickets, deposits and workshop fees are generally non-refundable.
If you experience a genuine medical emergency or other unforeseen circumstance (supporting documentation may be required), we are happy to provide a credit valid for 12 months.
Tickets may also be transferred or gifted to another person by notifying us of the new attendee's name, email address and phone number.
If Taste of Love Tantra cancels or reschedules an event, you may choose either:
- A full refund of the ticket purchase price, or
- A credit towards the rescheduled event.
If an event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including natural disasters or government restrictions), tickets will be transferred as credit to a future event wherever possible.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding that community events require significant planning and financial commitment. This policy allows us to continue creating high-quality events for our community.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy.
Information collected during registration may be used to:
- Process your booking.
- Communicate important event information.
- Send occasional updates about future events.
Your personal information will remain confidential and will never be sold to third parties.
You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.
Photography & Media Release
Official photographers and videographers may capture images and video during the event for promotional purposes.
These images may appear on our website, social media platforms, newsletters, printed material and future event promotions.
Participants will not normally be identified by name unless separate permission has been granted.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please request a "No Photos" wristband during registration.
Agreement
By purchasing a ticket and attending a Taste of Love Tantra event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to abide by this Code of Ethics, Consent Policy, Waiver and Refund Policy.
